The impact of Covid-19 on India's startup ecosystem

Corona is having an impact on India’s startup ecosystem, too. Startups are trying to overcome the situation by allowing work from home options to as many employees as possible and by figuring out new methods to organise sales and client meetings. It is still not clear how startups would overcome if the present scenario continues or worsens.

With many companies in Europe and the US slowing down or stalling their operations, business communication and orders from there have fallen significantly. Work from home is not feasible for a long time. Hardware startups face a lot of challenges in adapting to work from home.

Kerala’s startup hubs Kalamassery KSUM and Maker Village are taking maximum measures to prevent Corona. Staff are monitored using the thermal scanner. They are also instructed to do special cleaning on work desks and other areas.
