Microsoft has acquired Ally. io, a US and Chennai-based software firm

Ally.io will be integrated with Microsoft Viva, Microsoft’s new employee experience platform

Ally.io was launched in 2018 by a former Microsoft employee
 
The Seattle-headquartered SaaS firm has its development centre in Chennai
 
It has over 1,000 customers in 80 countries 
 
Ally.io has cumulatively raised around $80 million in funding to date over three rounds
 
The firm’s backers include Tiger Global, Accel, Greenoaks Capital and others
 
In February, the startup raised around $50 million in Series C round
 
Green Oaks Capital, Madrona Capital and Tiger Global led the round
 
As per Ally’s website, its customers include DropBox, NetApp, Slack, and others
