റസ്ക്യു ഓപ്പറേഷന് മുന്നിര്ത്തി ഒരു അണ്ടര്വാട്ടര്ഡ്രോണ്. തിരുവനന്തപുരം ട്രിനിറ്റി എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളജിലെ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളാണ് മനുഷ്യജീവന് രക്ഷിക്കാനും ഓഷ്യന് സ്റ്റഡീസിനുമായി അണ്ടര്വാട്ടര്ഡ്രോണിന്റെ പ്രോട്ടോടൈപ്പ് വികസിപ്പിച്ചത്. മൊബൈല് ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന് വഴിയാണ് ഡ്രോണിന്റെ കണ്ട്രോള്.
കോവളത്തെ ഒഴുക്കില്പ്പെട്ട് 5 വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളുടെ ജീവന് പൊലിഞ്ഞപ്പോള് തോന്നിയ ആവശ്യകതയാണ് ഇവരെ ഈ ആശയത്തിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചത്. കാണാതായവരെ ക്യാമറക്കണ്ണിലൂടെ ലൈവ് ഫീഡായി തെരയാനും വെള്ളത്തിനടിയില് കുരുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നവയെ റോബോട്ടിക്ക് ആം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുവരാനും കഴിയുന്ന മള്ട്ടി പര്പ്പസ് ഡ്രോണിന്റെ പ്രോട്ടോ ടൈപ്പാണ് ഇവര് നിര്മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ട്രിനിറ്റി മെക്കാനിക്കല് ഡിപ്പാര്ട്മെന്റിലെ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളാണ് ഒരു വര്ഷം കൊണ്ട് ഈ പ്രോട്ടോടൈപ്പ് വികസിപ്പിച്ചത്. ഓയില് റിഗ്ഗുകളിലെ പൈപ്പ്ലൈനിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന വിള്ളലുകള് കണ്ടെത്താനും വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ പ്യൂരിറ്റി തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്താനുമെല്ലാം ഈ ഡ്രോണ് സഹായിക്കും
An unfortunate mishap in which five students drowned near Kovalam beach proved to be a turning point to a team of students . Their thoughts on how to prevent such mishap led to a unique invention of an underwater drone. The partially wired drone is designed in a way to reach down the depth of ocean to conduct rescue missions.Apart from its basic mission of saving people, the drone can also be used for ocean studies, oil rigs and to test water purity. The drone is functioning through live transmission.The Drone prototype is designed by mechanical wing at Trinity engineering college, Trivandrum
