ആര്ട്ടിഫിഷല് ഇന്റലിജന്സും മെഷീന് ലേണിങ്ങും ഉള്പ്പെടെയുളള അഡ്വാന്സ്ഡ് ടെക്നോളജികളിലൂടെ മികച്ച ഫ്ളഡ് വാണിംഗ് സംവിധാനമൊരുക്കാന് ഗൂഗിള്. കേന്ദ്ര ജലവിഭവ മന്ത്രാലയവുമായി ചേര്ന്ന് ബിഹാറിലെ പാറ്റ്നയില് പരീക്ഷണാടിസ്ഥാനത്തില് ആരംഭിച്ച പൈലറ്റ് ഫ്ളഡ് ഫോര്കാസ്റ്റ് സിസ്റ്റം ഇന്ത്യയില് കൂടുതല് സ്ഥലങ്ങളില് പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്തും.അടുത്തിടെ കേരളത്തിലും കര്ണാടകയിലും ഉണ്ടായ പ്രളയത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില് കൂടിയാണ് ഗൂഗിളിന്റെ തീരുമാനമെന്ന് ഗൂഗിള് ടെക്നിക്കല് മാനേജര് അനിത വിജയകുമാര് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ഗൂഗിള് ഫോര് ഇന്ത്യ 2018 ലാണ് ഗൂഗിള് പദ്ധതിയുടെ വിശദാംശങ്ങള് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയത്. പ്രളയഭീഷണിയുളള സ്ഥലങ്ങള് കൂടുതല് കൃത്യതയോടെ പ്രവചിക്കാന് ആര്ട്ടിഫിഷല് ഇന്റലിജന്സിലൂടെ സാധിക്കുമെന്ന് അനിത വിജയകുമാര് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഒന്നരവര്ഷത്തെ റിസര്ച്ചിനൊടുവിലാണ് ഗൂഗിള് പ്രൊജക്ട് റോള് ഔട്ട് ചെയ്യാന് ഒരുങ്ങുന്നത്. ബിഹാര് പ്രളയത്തിന് ശേഷമാണ് പാറ്റ്നയില് പൈലറ്റ് പ്രൊജക്ട് ഏര്പ്പെടുത്തിയത്.
ഏറ്റവും അപകടകരമായ പ്രകൃതിദുരന്തങ്ങളില് ഒന്നാണ് പ്രളയം. ഓരോ വര്ഷവും വലിയ സാമ്പത്തികനഷ്ടവും ജീവഹാനിയുമാണ് പ്രളയം വരുത്തിവെയ്ക്കുന്നത്. 75 ശതമാനം പ്രളയദുരന്തങ്ങളും സംഭവിക്കുന്നത് ഇന്ത്യ, ചൈന, ബംഗ്ലാദേശ് തുടങ്ങിയ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലാണ്. ഈ രാജ്യങ്ങളില് ഏര്ളി വാണിംഗ് സംവിധാനങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഫലപ്രദമല്ല. ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് ഗൂഗിള് മാപ്പ് ഉള്പ്പെടെയുളള ഫീച്ചറുകളെ കൂട്ടുപിടിച്ച് ആര്ട്ടിഫിഷല് ഇന്റലിജന്സിലൂടെ കൂടുതല് കൃത്യതയോടെ ദുരന്തസാധ്യത പ്രവചിക്കാന് ഗൂഗിള് തയ്യാറെടുക്കുന്നത്. മുന്കൂട്ടി അപകടസാധ്യത മനസിലാക്കുന്നതോടെ ജനങ്ങളെ കൃത്യമായി ഒഴിപ്പിക്കാനും ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ ആഘാതം കുറയ്ക്കാനും കഴിയുമെന്ന് ഗൂഗിള് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നു.
കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രളയസമയത്ത് പേഴ്സണ് ഫൈന്ഡര് ഉള്പ്പെടെയുളള ടൂളുകള് ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലും ഗൂഗിള് ആക്ടിവേറ്റ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. രക്ഷാപ്രവര്ത്തനത്തെ ഇത് ഏറെ സഹായിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പേഴ്സണ് ഫൈന്ഡറിലൂടെ മാത്രം 22,000 ത്തോളം റെക്കോഡുകളാണ് ഗൂഗിളിന് ലഭിച്ചത്.
The tech giant Google is preparing its Artificial Intelligence and machine learning to predict flood in India. While addressing at the annual Google for India, Anitha Vijayakumar, project manager at TensorFlow, Google’s open-source software library said that India China and Bangladesh are the most Flood affected regions and its current modelling system are physics-based and the data are not enough. Therefore google is using a system that combine Physics modelling, AI and ML. Couple of months ago Google and the Ministry of Water Resources launched the pilot project for flood warning based on AI and ML at Patna, Bihar and the results were promising .
Google plans to scale up the trial basis project at various flood affected places in India, she added.Artificial Intelligence can help deliver accurate and timely flood warnings, therefore saving a lot of lives and avoiding damage to economy. During the flood in Kerala, google activated Person Finder in English and Malayalam to help people search and track family and friends.There were 22,000 records in person finder.
