Leaving behind her long career in advertising, Arpita Ganesh choose to start her entrepreneurial journey with Buttercups, India’s first high-end lingerie brand providing personalized sizing and fitting for women. Popularly known as Indian Bra Lady, Arpita Ganesh found her unique venture when she attended a workshop on Bra fitting in the New York. After coming back to India she realized the potential of her business and started off her venture. Though the journey wasn’t easy her first business in Hyderabad was unsuccessful due to scalability and had to shut down. But the passion was never shut down and that drove her to relaunch her Buttercup.
This time she came back with crowd funding and raised 4 lakh from 100 women. Later on focusing on Angel funding, buttercup marked its immersive growth both in offline and online market. Utilizing the digital technology, data analytics and online sales, Buttercups now take only online orders.
