Kerala Finance Minister TM Thomas presented the state budget 2019 and says that the coming Fiscal year foresees and plans for a sustainable growth of Kerala. Indeed to be highlighted the 2019 budget have reserved a good sum for the development and growth of the IT and startup ecosystem. Following are the highlighted points presented at the budget for IT, Industrial and startup ecosystem.
Technopark, Technocity, Infopark,have been allocated Rs 84 crore. RS 70 crore earmarked for Kerala Startup Mission’s Youth development programme. Rs 10 crore reserved for Startup Innovation zone. Kerala State Information Technology Mission, Rs 139 crore. Cyber Park at Kozhikode, Rs 23 crore. Eco-city in Knowledge city RS 1 crore. Nano-space Park at Pallipuram RS 1 crore. Kerala State Infrastructure Limited Rs 148 crore. Kerala Development and innovation strategy council, Rs 20 crore. KSIDC, Rs 116 crore. Kinfra Rs 87 crore. Export enclave at Mattanur, Rs 17 crore. Industrial Park, Rs 141 crore. Rs 1550 Cr allocated to establish 16,000 Cr Small and Medium scale enterprises. Small scale enterprises, Rs 163 crore.
