Kasaragod’s first ever Hackathon was a successful event witnessing 100’s of students and early stage startups. In an attempt to create the prototype of ideas which offers technical solution for social problem and business opportunities, Kerala Startup Mission along with Kasargod’s Startup community organized the kasaragod Hackathon. Practical Solutions in various sectors like hardware, health, robotics, traffic control system ,Hospital Management, FinTech and farming were presented by students and startups during the event. Sessions on robotics, software and workshop by startup founders on funding and pitching, pitch deck, one-to-one mentoring were also held during the Hackathon. Chit me, a Fintech application that put forward solution to make chit funds organized and digital were the winners. Twenty five thousand rupees cash prize, incubation and mentoring support from Kerala startup mission will be provided to the team. Winners of Hackathon were selected on the basis of product feasibility, Social relevance & market potential. Farmstock which presented an agriculture solution using CSR fund, Gitzberry team which developed a loyalty card that can be integrated in small shops and Air purification system introduced by Smartvent were the best 3 ideas selected at the Hackathon and will receive support for mentoring and market connects.
