A digital fire extinguisher- Meet the brain behind it | channeliam.com

Innovation: Digital fire extinguisher using Sound Waves
Advantage: No chemicals used, No Expiry date

The fire extinguisher invented by the students of Royal College of Engineering and Technology, Thrissur, is standing out for its uniqueness. Instead of using chemicals, this fire extinguisher uses sound waves to douse the fire.
More interestingly, it contains zero chemicals and has no expiry date. Ashwin, Begin Raj & Rafeek of Mechanical stream have invented the digital fire extinguisher.
Longitudinal or compression waves are used in this invention as the particles in these waves move in the same direction and thus create pressure in that area which eventually helps to quench the fire.
The immense support from college and faculties have helped the students to convert their idea to a prototype. These young innovators from Kerala aim to establish their own startup with more such inventions in the coming future.
