With an aim to promote rural innovation and local investor ecosystem in Kannur, Kerala Startup Mission in collaboration with Mizone organised Startup Malabar Startup Pitch. The event saw the participation of high net-worth individuals and angel investors.

Kannur which is known for its traditional industries like agriculture and plywood is now looking to promote startups and technology-based entrepreneurial ventures. In pursuit of this, the Malabar Innovation zone has kick-started a PPP model culture for entrepreneurs.

The program held at Kannur University campus was inaugurated by former president of Raymond Apparel & Angel Investor Robort Lobo. Anil Joshi, Founder and Managing partner, Unicorn Ventures, shared his investment experiences in Kerala.

As part of the event, a panel discussion over investments in startups and a master class in angel investment were also held. Ten startups got an opportunity to pitch in front of investors. Subsequently, a One-to-One VC meeting was also conducted.
