What DAAD tries to say
There are some people who cannot claim the beautiful world of sound. A great number of in the world are denied the ability to communicate with others through speech or hearing. Even that community, formed by about 1.8 crore people, has big dreams for life. Digital Arts Academy for the Deaf, abbreviated as DAAD, a startup at KSUM, Trivandrum, is trying to provide wings for such dreams.

Way for change
The deaf community are well trained to perform all roles concerning education or profession, independently. Dad believes that with the help of technology innovations, the deaf community can make tremendous changes in education. From friends to Founders
DAAD is an initiative was borne out of the friendship between Sulu, Ramya and Abe. KSUM ignited their desire to conquer bigger goals through technical assistance. Ramya Raj, CEO, is an economics graduate. Sulu A Noushad, Director of Finance, worked as an Indian Sign Language Teacher after MBA. DAAD‘s MD, Abe James, is a B.Sc computer science graduate. Abe is also an active participant in various volunteer programs for the deaf community.
What Next?
DAAD‘s next goal is app making. The app, once functional, may include sign language courses for the deaf.
