Google to buy wearable device manufacturer Fitbit for $2.1 Bn. This will be Google’s first venture into wearable hardware technology space. San Francisco based Fitbit’s produces activity trackers, wireless wearable devices and more. Fitbit claims to have an active global user base of 28 Mn. Fitbit is considered to be the third largest wearable company only behind Xiaomi and Apple.
