Rolls Royce introduces the world’s fastest zero-emission electric aircraft. The aircraft is named Accelerating the Electrification of Flight (ACCEL). The company claims ACCEL can travel at a speed of 300 mph.
ACCEL propeller has lower revolutions compared to the standard ones. ACCEL is the product of joint venture of Rolls Royce, UK Govt and electric motor companies YASA & Electro Flight. The aircraft is equipped with a battery having 6,000 cells and cooling system.The battery can power 250 houses. Short take-off and landing are possible for ACCEL aircraft. The aircraft will be launched in the UK in 2020.
