K-Wins by KSUM helps women to attend freelance assignments

Kerala Startup Mission introduces Kerala Women In Nano Startups (K-WINS), an initiative to help women in Kerala who are on sabbatical. K-WINS aims to bring qualified & experienced women back to the industry via freelance projects.  The pilot K-WINS orientation cum workshop was on 27th January, 2020 and saw enthusiastic participation of over 50 women tech graduates.

The programme envisions to connect women, who are interested in freelancing with the startups associated with KSUM.  Going ahead K-WINS aims to form a content talent pool for startups and other companies. KSUM Senior Fellow Pavithra said the main aim of the program was to transition women on a career break into one-person “Nano-Startups” who will take up freelance content creation projects for startups, tech enterprises & other organisations. Similar programs in IT quality assurance, functional analysis, design, HR recruitment, etc are also on the anvil.
