Discovery launches streaming app, Discovery Plus. Discovery is focusing on the Indian video-streaming market through the app. Subscription fees are Rs 99 per month and Rs 299 for a year. About 70% of the content is available in five languages. Discovery’s network of channels reaches nearly 164 Mn customers in India. Around 550 Mn consumers are estimated to take to online video viewing by 2023. The platform has a mix of both advertising and subsciber VOD contents.
