India currently manufactures 4.5 Lakh PPE suits a day. Over 600 Indian companies are certified to manufacture PPEs. In the first week of May, India manufactured 2.06 Lakh kits daily. Alok Industries, JCT Phagwara & Aditya Birla are a few domestic PPE kits manufactures. Govt institutes like SITRA, DRDO develop new technologies and testing facilities.
