Nasa outlines plan to send first woman to Moon by 2024
As part of Artemis programme, Nasa will send a man and a woman to the lunar surface
This will be the first lunar landing by humans since Apollo 17’s touchdown in 1972
The estimated cost of the project is said to be $28 billion
$16 billion from the project would be spent on the lunar landing module
Astronauts will travel in Orion, an Apollo-like capsule that will launch on a powerful rocket called SLS
The White House intends to reclaim its leadership in Space
