Ola to introduce electric scooter by January 2021
The e-scooter will be launched in India and Europe
Initially, it will be manufactured at Ola’s facility in the Netherlands
Aims to sell one million e-scooters in the first year
Also plans to set up the largest e-scooter manufacturing plant in India
It will be implemented as part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat project
Ola targets a plant with an annual capacity of 2 million units
Ola Electric acquired Dutch company Etergo BV in May
Etergo specializes in e-scooter, design and engineering
The ‘AppScooter’ developed by Etergo attracted attention for its high-power battery
These batteries are capable of running up to 240 km
Amsterdam-based Etergo was launched in 2014
