World’s biggest PPE manufacturer ‘Top Glove’ temporarily closes factories
The move comes as nearly 2,500 workers tested positive for COVID-19
The Malaysia-based manufacturer also specialises in face masks, dental dams, and other products
As per the Malaysian health ministry’s directive, the company completed screening of around 5,700 workers
The firm has 47 factories in Malaysia, Thailand, China & Vietnam and about 16,000 factory employees
Malaysia accounts for just under two-thirds of the world’s rubber gloves
