In a bid to address the critical issues faced by women in India, channeliam.com organizes ‘She Power Virtual Hackathon’ on December 20 in collaboration with the US State Department. The hackathon will focus on problem statements such as ‘Women’s Security’, ‘Hygiene’ and ‘Women’s reskilling’. The hackathon will see around 100 applications with women’s participation from different parts of the country competing for success. Products, prototypes and ideas have already arrived at the hackathon. KSUM is the implementing partner for the hackathon. The hackathon, which starts at 9 am, will have a mentoring session and a pitching workshop led by channeliam.com. Winners will be selected after the final pitching by a panel that includes Vijeta Shastri, Executive Director, Tie Bangalore, Dibya Prakash, Managing Partner, ECD Ventures, Preethi M., CEO, NIT Technology Business Incubator, and well-known investors and mentors from the country. Winners will receive a cash prize of around Rs 1 lakh and an incubation. The best ideas will have the opportunity to be presented in front of investors and gain business access to government corporations.
