Reliance, CAIT grab a seat as Amazon and Flipkart got sidelined on govt’s new e-commerce panel
DPIIT has constituted a nine-member panel to design an open network for digital commerce
Aims to curb monopolistic tendencies of e-commerce platforms among others
It will help digitise the entire value chain and presence of small retailers
The panel comes shortly after the proposed changes in the draft e-commerce policy
Leading e-commerce companies like Amazon, Flipkart and Tata Group were against the changes
The changes would increase the restrictions imposed on foreign players
