Urban Air Laboratory develops a living plant-based air purifier
Named ‘Ubreathe Life’, it does air purification in indoor spaces
Urban Air Laboratory is IIT Ropar’s startup company
They claim the product as the world’s first, state-of-the-art smart biofilter
This works through the air-purifying natural leafy plant
The product uses the ‘Urban Munnar Effect’ technology along with “Breathing Roots”
It will amplify the phytoremediation process of the plants
Phytoremediation is a process by which plants remove pollutants from the air
Ubreathe Life improves indoor air quality by removing particulate, gaseous, and biological contaminants
It also increases the oxygen levels in the indoor space
They claim that, with ‘Ubreathe Life’, the Air Quality Index for a 150 sq ft room will drop from 311 to 39 in 15 minutes
