Auto major Tata Motors to increase the price of commercial vehicles
The price hike, effective from October 1, will be in the range of 2%
It will be implemented based on the model and variant of the vehicle
The continued rise in the price of commodities like steel and precious metals has encouraged the hike
The last year witnessed a steady increase in the price of essential commodities
Tata Motors is the country’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles
Its range of vehicles include trucks, buses, and light commercial vehicles
Earlier this month, Maruti Suzuki India has also spiked the prices of its product range by up to 1.9%
Celerio was the only exception
