The world’s highest railway bridge is getting ready
It is located at a height of 359 metres above the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir
Its arch is 467 metres long
The aim is to connect Kashmir with other parts of the country
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal shared a picture of the bridge
Goyal described the bridge as a miracle in the field of infrastructure
Also informed that the project is nearing completion
The Chenab Bridge is 35 metres taller than the Eiffel Tower
The 1.3 km long bridge is being constructed spending Rs 1,250 crore
1,300 workers and 300 engineers are part of the project, which began in 2004
In the 2008-09 period, extreme winds disrupted operations
The Chenab Bridge has a lifespan of 120 years
It is the seventh-largest arch-shaped bridge in the world
There are no pillars between the bridges except at both ends
Piers and trusses will provide the necessary support
The bridge can withstand earthquakes with a magnitude of eight and explosions
