Amazon founder Jeff Bezos to travel to space in Blue Origin’s first human space flight
On Instagram t, he said that he will be one of the inaugural passengers on the New Shepard spacecraft
The New Shepard spacecraft is scheduled for launch from West Texas on July 20
His brother Mark Bezos will also be on board
Bezos will have a head start over Elon Musk, another billionaire aiming to travel space
The six-seater capsule and 59ft rocket tear toward the edge of space on an 11-minute flight, reaching over 60 miles above Earth
The spacecraft was developed after six years of extensive and often secretive testing of the rocket and capsule
The company said one regular ticket will be sold to the winner of the ongoing month-long auction
