Apple’s Siri voice assistant now provides advice on coronavirus. Siri has a step-by-step questionnaire if users ask ‘Hey Siri, do I have the coronavirus?’. It will guide users according to the information they provide. People with extreme symptoms will be advised to call 911 while others are asked to stay inside. The service is currently available for users in the US. Siri pulls information from US Public Health Service & Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The new function caught users’ attention on Saturday.
Online hackathon to be organised to tackle Covid-19 pandemic. The event ‘Hack the Crisis-India’ will be a 48-hour long hackathon. The intention is to develop non-medical solutions to battle Covid-19 and its aftermath. 3 pan-Indian winners will receive prize money up to Rs 5 Lakhs each. An initiative to help small business and self-employed people who are hit by the pandemic. Mahindra also expressed willingness to launch temporary healthcare facilities. Mahindra holidays will offer their resorts for temporary care facilities. Their project team is ready to assist govt and army in installing temporary health care facilities.
