Covid 19 വ്യാപനത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ സെന്‍സെക്സില്‍ ഇടിവ്. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച്ച 8.71% ഇടിഞ്ഞ് 32,587 പോയിന്റില്‍ എത്തി. നിഫ്റ്റിയില്‍ 932 പോയിന്റ് ഇടിവ്. നിക്ഷേപകര്‍ക്ക് ഒറ്റദിവസം കൊണ്ട് 8 ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപയാണ് നഷ്ടം. Tata Steel, ONGC, SBI, RIL എന്നിവയുടെ ഓഹരി ഇടിഞ്ഞു. Covid 19 പകര്‍ച്ചവ്യാധിയെന്ന് who ഉറപ്പിച്ചതോടെയാണ് മാര്‍ക്കറ്റ് ഇടിഞ്ഞത്. യുഎസ് ഡോളറുമായുള്ള വിനിമയത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ രൂപ 82 പൈസ ഇടിഞ്ഞു. യൂറോപ്പില്‍ നിന്നടക്കം യാത്രകള്‍ റദ്ദാക്കിയതോടെ ആഗോള തലത്തില്‍ ഓഹരിയില്‍ ഇടിവ്. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച്ച വ്യാപാരം അവസാനിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സെന്‍സെക്‌സ് 34,103ല്‍ എത്തി.
SBI to invest Rs 7,250cr in Yes Bank. It makes SBI’s stake up to 49%. SBI will buy 725cr shares at Rs 10 per piece. Other investors to contribute Rs 5000crICICI, HDFC & high net worth individuals Rakesh Jhunjhunwala & R. Damani to contribute. The size of the ‘problem book’ of Yes Bank is estimated at close to Rs 80,000 cr. Yes Bank has been struggling to find investors. On Mar 5, RBI imposed a moratorium on withdrawals. Former SBI executive Prashant Kumar now administers Yes Bank.
Govt of Kerala launches a mobile app detailing Coronavirus. The app is named GoK Direct. GoK Direct is launched in the wake of the spread of false information. The app will provide exact info on Covid-19 to avoid panic. The app is available both on Android and iOS phones. Ordinary mobile phones can access the facility through SMS alert. Go Direct is developed by the Information and Public Relation Department of Kerala.
