OYO launches multi-lingual support in its app and mobile web platforms. Multi-lingual support is available for Hindi, Bahasa, Japanese and Vietnamese languages. Users can switch to available languages using the ‘Change Language’ option. OYO Lite has been rolled out in Hindi & Bahasa. The initiative is targeting users from Tier II and Tier III cities. Amazon and Flipkart have also been rolling out vernacular support.

PVR Cinemas launches sub-brand Utsav for Tier II and Tier III cities. PVR Cinemas is India’s leading film exhibition company. The firm launched a new 3 screen multiplex under the brand in Satna, MP. Mahindra launches their first automotive assembly plant, Mahindra Ideal Lanka, in Sri Lanka. The assembly plant is a collaboration between Mahindra Group & Ideal Motors Sri Lanka. The plant will roll out its compact sport utility vehicle KUV100. Mahindra Ideal Lanka will assemble KUV100 with a production capacity of 5K units. The joint venture will localise 4 components – batteries, tyres, seats and exhausts.
