Central govt allows employees to withdraw PF in advance. The amendment is in the wake of COVID-19. One can withdraw an amount equal to three months of basic pay and DA. Or, one can withdraw up to 75% of the amount in PF account. It will be treated as non-refundable advance.

COVID-19: Hero MotoCorp to donate 60 first-responder mobile ambulances to health authorities. The ambulances will reach out to patients in rural and remote areas. The custom-built ambulances have an engine capacity of 150cc and above. They have accessories like sleeping arrangements, first-aid kit, oxygen cylinder and more. Mobile ambulances will be handed over to multiple authorities in India.
Samsung India pledges Rs 20 Cr to fight corona virus in India. Samsung will donate Rs 15 Cr to PM-CARES fund and Rs 5 Cr to the states of U.P and TN. Indian Samsung employees have been putting together personal contribution to the cause. So far, the company has given thousands of preventive masks and PPE kits to hospitals. The electronic giant had provided hospitals in Noida with medical equipment. Samsung also provides Infra-red thermometers, public address systems & air purifiers to hospitals.

Lockdown: NORKA sets up helpdesks in nine nations, mainly gulf regions. The service is available for expats in Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, UK, Indonesia, Mozambique & Bangladesh. This is to help Keralites trapped in foreign countries during COVID-19 pandemic. NORKA has already set up a helpdesk in the UAE with the help of Malayali organisation. An online teleservice has also been done to address health concerns of NRKs through video conference.
