Online shopping site Snapdeal to buy its rival ShopClues in all-stock deal. The deal likely to value ShopClues between $200mn & $250mn. The deal will help Snapdeal add customer base in tier 3 & 4 cities. Snapdeal sees 2 lakh orders per day & ShopClues sees 40K orders per day. Snapdeal had held talks with Flipkart for a sale in 2017.

Munich-based startup Lilium unveiled the world’s first five-seater aeroplane. The maiden run of the prototype went successful. The prototype will undergo a series of flying tests. Once fully functional, the company aims to offer an on-demand air taxi service with consumers using an app to find their nearest “landing pad” and then book their trip. Though the aircraft runs on autonomous flying capacity, the company is planning to board a human pilot. Lilium plans to enter mass scale production of five-seater airplanes by mid-2020s.

Rajasthan government will support over 30 startups through its iStart program. Through this, funding capital ranging from Rs. 1.2 Lakh to 20 Lakh will be provided to startups. Apart from this, incentives like subsistence allowance, initial financial cost, marketing assistance will also be given to startups. Startups from the ideation stage to the scaling stage will be eligible for funds. The selected startups will have to pitch before an expert committee. Through iStart, startups can now accelerate and connect to global venture capitals. The program will help Rajasthan government to promote their startup ecosystem.
