Face Recognition (FR) system for entry launched at Hyderabad airport. Trials are being carried out by Central Government’s Digi Yatra Program. 180 passengers volunteered for Digi Yatra trials at the airport. Trials will be conducted till July 31 and are open to domestic fliers only. FR will ensure paperless travel and avoid multiple identity checks. Passengers can voluntarily register for the new digital experience.

Ola Electric enters Unicorn club with investment from SoftBank. SoftBank invested $250 Mn in the transportation company. Ola became the 30th Indian startup to enter Unicorn Club. Ola’s valuation after investment is estimated to be $1 Bn. The firm had also received investment from Ratan Tata, Tiger Global and Matrix Partners.
Data company Atlan, backed by Ratan Tata, raises $2.5 Mn funding from WaterBridge Ventures. Atlan assists in data democratization and management for companies. Singapore-based Atlan works with over 200 firms including Unilever, Milkbasket and Barbeque Nation. The company’s product, Collect, helps organizations acquire granular data. The firm also has the backing of Rajan Anandan, former head of Google Southeast Asia, and 500 Startups.

രാജ്യത്തെ പെട്രോള്‍ പമ്പുകളില്‍ ഇലക്ട്രിക് ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് പോയിന്റുകള്‍ വരുന്നു. ഇലക്ട്രിക് വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ പ്രൊഡക്ഷനും യൂസും പ്രൊമോട്ട് ചെയ്യുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. പൊതുമേഖല എണ്ണക്കമ്പനികള്‍ക്ക് കീഴില്‍ 60,000 പെട്രോള്‍ പമ്പുകളാണ് നിലവിലുള്ളത്. സ്റ്റേറ്റ് റണ്‍ പെട്രോള്‍ പമ്പുകളിലെല്ലാം ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് പോയിന്റുകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്താനാണ് പദ്ധതി.
Early stage fund Ankur Capital invests in food startup ToBeHealthy. ToBeHealthy provides healthy & nutritious snacks made of fruits and vegetables. Delhi-based firm transforms vegetables like okra, beetroot, tomato into snacks using technology. ToBeHealth snacks stands unique by preserving 90% of the natural nutrients and fibres. ToBeHealthy sells its products through web portal & e-commerce platforms like Amazon. Ankur Capital had also backed 14 startups including Niramai, Skillveri, CropIn etc.

Kerala auto mobile ltd പ്രതിവര്‍ഷം 8000 ഇ-ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷകള്‍ നിരത്തിലിറക്കും. സ്വിസ്സ് ആസ്ഥാനമായ HESS മായി e-bus നിര്‍മാണത്തിന് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ MoU ഒപ്പുവെച്ചു. KSRTC 1,500 ഇ-ബസുകള്‍ക്ക് ടെണ്ടര്‍ ക്ഷണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് ഒരുവര്‍ഷത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ 100% ഇലക്ട്രിക പബ്ലിക് ട്രാന്‍സ്പോര്‍ട്ടാക്കി മാറ്റും.
With an aim to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students across Kerala, the Kerala Startup Mission’s Idea Fest, held at Albertain Institute of Science and Technology, saw the participation of over 85 students from various colleges. They presented solutions for problems in sectors like deeptech, social and rural, electronics and hardware, Biotech, health and medi-tech. The finalists were shortlisted after the months-long process.
