NASA plans to send drone copter to Saturn’s moon Titan. The mission titled Dragonfly will launch in 2026 aiming a 2034 landing. Drone copters will be sent to dozens of locations in the planet to search for life. The drone copters will land at the equatorial ‘Shangri-La’ dune. Titan is the only celestial body apart from Earth having liquid rivers & lakes on the surface. Titan is the second largest moon in the solar system.
Akshay Kumar invests in fitness startup GOQii. The actor also joined as the company’s board as a strategic advisor. GOQii is a smart wearable band that helps people track their daily activities & more. Mumbai-based GOQii has raised $ 30 Mn from existing investor, Mitsui & Co. The firm which has a user base of 2.7 Mn aims to achieve 10 Mn users by FY20.

Indian hospitality company OYO ties up with Chinese E-commerce platform Meituan. 8,000 OYO accommodations in China will be listed on Meituan Hotels platform as part of tie-up. The tie-up is aimed at driving consumer traffic, data operations & brand promotions. Meituan Hotels offers high-end, affordable stays & family-run boutique hotels for housing. OYO’s China arm, OYO Jiudian, is present across 337 cities in the country.
Beverage giant Coca Cola in talks to acquire a stake in Café Coffee Day (CCD). Preliminary talks are led by Coca Cola’s Atlantic office. T Krishnakumar, president & CEO, Coca Cola India, is presiding the negotiation talks. Coca Cola aims to gain a foothold in the growing Indian cafe space. Prior to this, Coca Cola has acquired UK-based Costa Coffee for $5.1 Bn. Bengaluru-based CCD has currently 1.8K stores across 250 cities.

Grocery delivery startup Milkbasket raises $2.16 Mn from Innoven Capital. Milkbasket concentrates on doorstep delivery of grocery items, free of charge. Gurugram-based Milkbasket claims to serve 100K households. The firm had earlier raised $10.5 Mn from Unilever, Kalaari Capital, Blume Ventures and more. Total funding of the company stands at $28.16 Mn.
