The Central government has announced new guidelines for social media and OTT platforms as part of its efforts to curb abuse. IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar jointly presented the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 at a press conference.
