2050ഓടെ കടുത്ത ജലക്ഷാമം നേരിടുന്ന നഗരങ്ങളിൽ കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു നഗരം കടുത്ത ജലക്ഷാമം നേരിടുമെന്ന് WWF റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ പറയുന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ നഗരങ്ങളിൽ കോഴിക്കോടും ഡൽഹി, മുംബൈ, ജയ്പൂർ, ശ്രീനഗർ, കൊൽക്കത്ത, ബെംഗളൂരു എന്നിവയും ലിസ്റ്റിലുണ്ട് രാജ്യത്തെ ആകെ 30 നഗരങ്ങൾ 2050ഓടെ വരളുമെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ലോകവ്യാപകമായി 100 നഗരങ്ങളിൽ കടുത്ത ജലക്ഷാമം അനുഭവപ്പെടും സൗത്ത്ഏഷ്യ, മിഡിൽ ഈസ്റ്റ്, സൗത്ത് അമേരിക്ക, ആഫ്രിക്ക എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും ഹോട്ട്സ്പോട്ടുകൾ ബെയ്ജിംഗ്, ജക്കാർത്ത, ജൊഹാനസ്ബർഗ്, ഹോങ്കോങ്ങ്, ഇസ്താംബുൾ എന്നിവയും ലിസ്റ്റിൽ ജലക്ഷാമം ബാധിക്കുന്നവയിൽ 50 ഓളം ചൈനീസ് നഗരങ്ങളാണുളളത് ആഗോളതലത്തിൽ 35 കോടി ജനങ്ങളെ ജലക്ഷാമം രൂക്ഷമായി ബാധിക്കും ദ്രുതഗതിയിലുള്ള നഗരവൽക്കരണം, കാലാവസ്ഥാ വ്യതിയാനം ഇവ ജലക്ഷാമത്തിനിടയാക്കുന്നു ചെന്നൈ മുതൽ ഷിംല വരെ ഇന്ത്യൻ നഗരങ്ങളിൽ നിലവിൽ കടുത്ത ജലക്ഷാമമുണ്ട് മഴവെളള സംരക്ഷണത്തിന്  കൂടുതൽ  പ്രാധാന്യം നൽകേണ്ടത് ആവശ്യമാണ് 8% മാത്രമാണ് രാജ്യത്ത് മഴവെളള സംരംക്ഷണം ഇപ്പോൾ നടക്കുന്നത് പ്രകൃതിദത്ത നീരുറവകളും തണ്ണീർത്തടങ്ങളും വീണ്ടെടുക്കുകയും പ്രതിവിധിയാണ്…
