E-commerce giant Flipkart outpaced Amazon in tier 2, 3 cities during the festive season of Diwali. This Diwali, the average order value of Flipkart was Rs 1.9K whereas Amazon’s was Rs 1.4K. Amazon’s sales were driven by customer loyalty as it had a higher NPS. Gross units shipped for Flipkart was 56% & Amazon’s was 44%. Customer cancellations were lower on Amazon.
