Electric Vehicle is the hot segment these days. With FAME schemes promising benefits, the sector will help startups mint money. Makers of EVs are trying to model them in a way that they are environmental friendly. Latest to the list is Evolet, from Rissala Electric Motors (REM) Private Limited.
Rissala’s Evolet aims to curb environmental pollution and enhance off-road travel. They have recently launched 3 low-speed e-scooter models, Pony, Polo and Derby. The EVs are available in Li-ion (Lithium -ion) and VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) battery versions. Pony and Polo run between 60-65 km while Derby at 60km on a single charge. Price range is between 44,000 and 65,000.
An all-terrain Quad bike, Warrior is also being deployed by REM, which is priced at Rs 1.4 Lakhs. Gurgaon-based REM is an electronic mobility startup by Military professionals. Col (retd) Ajay Ahlawat and Sqn Ldr (retd) Prerana Chaturvedi and Kamaljeet Katariaare the founders. Evolet to roll out high-speed EVs Hawk and Raptor soon.
