National Startup Conclave to strengthen Odisha’s startup ecosystem
Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel, has said that technology provides numerous possibilities to individuals. He was speaking at the National Startup Conclave held at India International Centre in Delhi. The conclave was meant to give national exposure to startups from Odisha and to attract Odisha-based investors who live abroad to the state’s startup ecosystem. Union Minister of State for MSME Pratap Chandra Sarangi also participated in the programme.
Indian influence and growth of the American economy
Hundreds of dignitaries including investors, mentors and entrepreneurs from Odisha took part in the conclave. Indians, especially young ones, play a vital role in moulding various sectors of the American economy such as health, finance and IT. Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stressed that it was the effort they put in the 70s and 80s that took them there. Amar Patnaik, Rajya Sabha member from Odisha, said that the aim of Naveen Patnaik-led Government is to bring Odisha’s startup ecosystem to the forefront.
40 startups were showcased
40 startups were displayed. The Odisha Corporate Foundation organised the conclave to mould startups for the development of the state.
