Canara Bank becomes India’s 4th largest PSU bank. Syndicate Bank will merge with Canara Bank on April 1, 2020. The combined entity will have 10,391 branches. All branches of Syndicate Bank will function as Canara Bank branches. Syndicate Bank depositors will be treated as Canara Bank customers. The union will form a business of above Rs 16 Lakh Cr.
