TEPLU app enlightens farmers through virtual lessons during lockdown

TEPLU, a digital education and skill development company, is transforming the dairy farming industry with technology support.  The startup, incubated in Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Uttar Pradesh, focuses on Agriculture & Animal Husbandry. With India under locked down due to COVID-19, TEPLU is digitally sharing farming lessons to hundreds of people.

The startup works with technical support from Animal Husbandry scientists. The challenges Sanjay faced while setting up his own dairy farm in Mumbai in 2007 encouraged him to start an online resource for Dairy Farm farmers. TEPLU gives farmers information from the industry’s best companies and experts.

TEPLU platform is currently used by hundreds of farmers. The company has recently launched its first paid course in clean milk production. It is available in three languages – English, Hindi and Marathi. Sanjay Bhattacharjee says they got good responses from various segments.

Following the COVID crisis, many people are relocating to villages. TEPLU has started a course in scientific dairy farming for those who want to indulge in farming there. The team has 7 veterinary doctors and PhD Scholars in the team.

Sanjay Bhattacharjee says an online course in Animal Husbandry and Practical Farming will be started soon. The intention is to impart expert lessons on agriculture to the new generation who spends most of the time on social media on their favourite platform.
