RBI clarifies that Google Pay is not a payment system operator
The submission was made at Delhi HC while hearing a plea alleging GPay
It was said that GPay facilitated transactions without authorisation from the Central Bank
RBI said that Google Pay is a third-party app provider
However, GPay’s operations are not in violation of the Payment and Settlement System Act, 2007
