Koo App, a micro-blogging platform in the local language, marks a significant change in the technology application after the Center selects it as one of the best Indian apps. Koo is India’s answer to Twitter. Koo supports short blogging in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu languages. Out of 6900 entries, 23 apps, including Koo, were selected by the Center as part of the AatmaNirbhar App Challenge.

Aprameya Radhakrishna, co-founder and CEO of Koo, said that they are proud to be one of the best apps in the country. The government offers great opportunities for startups, innovators and entrepreneurs. Koo aims to connect people across India through their language, added Aprameya. Co-founder Mayank Bidawatka said that this stresses the fact that how the Center is prioritizing technology innovation. He added that Koo will become a platform that connects millions of Indians.

Launched in March this year, Koo is a blog platform targeting the non-English speakers. Koo provides an opportunity for users to present their emotions in their mother tongue. Koo, which can be used to share text, voice and video, also allows you to use the local language keyboard. Koo is ready to include more Indian languages in its platform.
