Govt appoints Dinesh Kumar Khara as SBI chairman for three years

Dinesh Kumar Khara has been a part of SBI since 1984

He had worked as the MD and CEO of SBI Funds Management Pvt Limited (SBIMF)

He takes charge at a time when the banking sector is reeling under COVID-19

SBI had made a total provision of ₹3,000 crores to cover potential COVID-19 losses

Khara will replace Rajnish Kumar, whose three-year term ends on October 7
