Govt plans to set up an infrastructure for 69,000 EV charging kiosks across India
Aims to accelerate the uptake of EVs and to ensure 100% EV adoption by 2030
Will set up at least one charging kiosk around 69,000 petrol pumps in India
Deployment of the infrastructure will come under Phase II of the FAME Scheme
Govt recently reduced GST for EVs to 5% and allowed delinking of battery cost of 2 & 3 wheelers from vehicle cost
