Centre to provide a grant worth Rupees 4 crore to agri startups
Around 40 startups in the agriculture field will benefit
The grant is provided by the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management
In a bid to promote ‘agripreneurship’ and innovation
The grant is a part of the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana programme
It will help nurture the incubation ecosystem
Selected startups will undergo two months of training
Training will be in agro-processing, food technology and value addition
Startups in AI, IoT and organic farming can avail the grant
These startups address the challenges of the agriculture value chain
Agri startups connect farmers, dealers and retailers
