Reliance Industries becomes the largest producer of medical-grade oxygen in India
Its refinery petrochemical complex has ramped up the production of liquid oxygen to 1000 MT a day
The company statement says the production will meet the oxygen demands of 1 among 10 patients
This will fulfil around 11% of the country’s oxygen requirements
RIL had tweaked manufacturing activities at its Jamnagar plant to produce 700 MT of oxygen daily
Chairman Mukesh Ambani is personally supervising the activities
In April, Reliance Industries had supplied over 15,000 MT of medical-grade liquid oxygen for free
