Internet explorer will go out of support from June 15, 2022

Microsoft kept it so long as many older enterprise software/ websites only work with IE

In 2015, Microsoft replaced Internet Explorer with Microsoft Edge

Users who still want to use IE can use the Internet Explorer(IE) mode found on Edge

The user base of Internet Explorer declined with the advent of better alternatives like ‘ Google Chrome’ and ‘ Mozilla Firefox’
