Google, Facebook and WhatsApp begin to comply with IT rules
Google and Fb started updating their websites to reflect the appointment of the grievance officers
As per new rules, social media platforms with over 50 lakh users should appoint Indian personnel across key positions
These include a grievance officer, nodal officer, and chief compliance officer
Govt sources reveal that Twitter is yet to comply with any of the norms
The new social media rules came into effect on May 26
