Meet Sirisha Bandla, the second Indian-origin woman to fly into space

Sirisha to be a part of the six-member crew of Virgin Galactic’s rocket, VSS Unity

Sirisha Bandla was born in Tenali, Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh

She studied aeronautical engineering at Purdue University and holds an MBA from George Washington University

In space flight, Sirisha’s role will be to evaluate research experience

The six-member crew includes the company’s founder Richard Branson

This will be the 22nd spaceflight for VSS Unity and Galactic’s fourth crewed mission

Virgin Galactic’s suborbital rocket-powered spaceplane will soar from New Mexico
