MIT and Harvard University develop a face mask technology to detect coronavirus in the wearer’s breath
Biosensors attached to standard KN95 face masks to detect the virus
Users can activate the sensor with a button
Results will appear on a readout strip in 90 minutes
Biosensor’s accuracy levels are being touted as equivalent to the RT-PCR tests
The biosensor can also be programmed and integrated into other garments
The team is looking to collaborate with manufacturers to roll out these masks in large numbers
