German automaker Audi has introduced first set of electric cars in India
Vehicles come under e-tron badging
Ex-showroom prices start at Rs 1 crore
They will compete with Mercedes Benz’s EQC
Audi plans to launch a range of vehicles ahead of Tesla’s arrival
Local assembly of electrics is under consideration
Company will work with Volkswagen and Skoda to implement this
Audi has been facing challenges in India for past few years
Situation worsened last year when diesel models were discontinued
Company introduced 3 electric SUVs – e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55
Their prices range from Rs 99.9 lakh to Rs 1.18 crore
Audi will set up around 100 charging points in 75 cities
