The central govt says India uses space technology applications for digital education

19 States and A&N Islands use satellite communication under the tele-education programme

The Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics relays 51 educational channels 

The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing trains beneficiaries on Space Technology and its applications

Beneficiaries include UG/PG and Doctorate students, working professionals, academicians and others

Last year, about 2.42 lakh participants benefitted from these programmes.

Recently, ISRO had agreed to the parliamentary panel to help set up satellite TV classrooms in India

It aims to bridge the learning gap created due to the COVID-19 lockdowns

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh stated these in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha
